Memorial Committee
Bethesda’s Memorial Committee works with families that have given money to the church in memory of a loved one. A list of the church’s “needs and wants,” which has been approved by Bethesda’s Church Council, is available for families to look at and decide how they can use their memorial donation. After a decision is made by a family, the committee searches and does the purchasing of whatever has been chosen to buy. They then follow through until that item has been put to use, usually accompanied by a service of dedication of the item(s). The Memorials Committee does not meet at predetermined times but instead when there is a particular need.
