Celebrations were held Sunday, October 16, 2022, for a formal service with Northern Illinois Synod Bishop Stacie Fidlar. Holy Communion will be celebrated. The worship service will be at 9:00 a.m. and will include the message of the day by Bishop Fidlar.

 

A catered meal was served and enjoyed by all participants at 11:30 a.m. in the lower level of the church. Later that same day (October 16, 2022) a celebratory program was held at 2:00 p.m.  Former members, pastors & choir members were invited to participate in a choir and provided special music at the event.   

 

Another celebration was held on Sun. Dec. 11th (closest to the actual anniversary date of Dec. 13, 1897 – Bethesda’s first service). Moments of recognition and remembrance were offered, along with prayers for the future during the 9:00 a.m. worship service. A potluck lunch was held immediately following.
